They are the ones
who talk about it best

As a retiree, I was looking for a way to stay active and contribute to my community. Thanks to Ôpe, I sponsored Rami, an engineering student from Tunisia. Helping him understand the academic and professional expectations in France, and sharing my own journey, has been very rewarding. It's gratifying to see Rami adapt and succeed in his studies thanks to my support.

As an entrepreneur, I know how important it is to find support and guidance. Through Ôpe, I was able to mentor Julie, a business student. We discussed her plans, and I helped her find internships and develop her professional network. It's incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact you can have on a young student's career and self-confidence.

I arrived in Orléans with a great deal of enthusiasm, but also some apprehension. Ôpe put me in touch with Sophie, a dynamic retiree with extensive knowledge of the city and its activities. We shared precious moments together, whether on cultural outings or simply chatting over coffee. This relationship provided me with genuine emotional support and made my university experience much more enriching and enjoyable.

Project
history

2020

During the Covid-19 health crisis, the ÔCampus federation of student associations sadly noted that a large proportion of students found themselves isolated.

2021

The Orleans Metropolis has joined forces with ÔCampus to create a sponsorship platform between its residents and Orleans students, in order to combat the latter’s isolation.

2024

Orléans Métropole enhances the platform to meet new student needs. A wide range of assistance is on offer, including social events, help with administrative formalities and finding student jobs and internships. The process is now much simpler.
