GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE STUDENT SPONSORSHIP PLATFORM
Procedure
When you register as a student or sponsor, the information provided on the form is analyzed by an algorithm. The algorithm then selects the best match according to your criteria. You'll receive an e-mail with your partner's contact details, and you'll need to contact him or her yourself.
As soon as you receive the sponsorship e-mail, we consider the sponsorship to be established. Thereafter, we will send you e-mails every six months to check whether your sponsorship is still in progress. You can let us know if your referral has been completed via your Ôpe account.
If you are a student and your sponsorship has ended, we will delete your data from our database. If you are a sponsor, your data will only be deleted if you indicate via your account that you no longer wish to sponsor students. Otherwise, your data will be kept for future sponsorships.
Article 1: Purpose
The Orleans Metropolis has set up a student sponsorship platform accessible via the website www.ope.orleans.fr on tablets and smartphones, designed to put students from Orleans' higher education establishments wishing to benefit from mentoring in touch with local volunteer sponsors.
The purpose of these terms and conditions of use is to govern access to and use of this platform. Please read them carefully.
You acknowledge that Métropole d'Orléans cannot be held responsible for acts committed in the context of relations between sponsors and students.
By answering any of the questionnaires, you acknowledge that you have read them and accept these terms and conditions in their entirety.
Article 2: Definitions
Any adult resident of the metropolitan area who is willing and motivated to provide voluntary moral support and guidance to a student in difficulty can become a sponsor.
Sponsorship is open to any student of legal age enrolled in a higher education establishment in Orléans who wishes to be accompanied by a sponsor. Students under 18 cannot register on the platform.
Article 3: Services offered by the platform, pairing up sponsors and students
The Metropole d'Orléans manages the creation of sponsorships between students and sponsors after analyzing the answers to the questionnaires entered on the platform. It ensures that the profiles are compatible, with the aim of establishing a relationship based on mutual trust, listening, respect for beliefs and opinions and non-judgment.
Sponsorships are based on the exchange and sharing of knowledge.
Article 4: Sponsorship commitments
The sponsor undertakes to :
- Make contact with his or her godchild at the frequency and according to the terms they have jointly determined, in order to break the latter's isolation.
Depending on the assistance he/she proposes to provide, he/she undertakes to :
- Helping the sponsored child with administrative formalities
- Helping students find internships and jobs
- Supporting student life in Orleans
The sponsoree undertakes to :
- Respect the terms and rhythms of exchanges agreed with your sponsor.
- Show kindness and respect for your sponsor's opinions and convictions during contacts
- Not to expect any obligation of result from the sponsor in the context of the support actions that may be carried out by mutual agreement.
- Do not ask for financial help or loans.
Sponsors and godchildren undertake to show kindness and respect for each other's opinions and convictions.
Article 5: Leaving the system
- The sponsor and the sponsored child can leave the program at any time by informing their account that the sponsorship is over.
Once the sponsorship has ended, the student's data will be overwritten. The sponsor's data will be kept for a potential new sponsorship proposal, unless the sponsor indicates on his or her account that he or she wishes to leave the program.
- Failure to comply with these rules will result in removal from the scheme.
Article 6: Personal data
As part of your use of the Platform, the Metropole d'Orléans may collect and process some of your personal data. By using the Platform and answering one of the questionnaires, you acknowledge and agree to the processing of your personal data by Orleans Metropolis in accordance with applicable law and the stipulations of the Privacy Policy.
